Dr. Mak
Dr. Mak received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto in 2001. She went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Alberta. After practicing in Edmonton, she relocated to Victoria in 2004 and joined the Doctors Medical Clinic. In 2020, Dr. Mak received her Certificate of Added Competence in Care of the Elderly from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Mak has a special interest in geriatrics and is committed to the care of older adults. She works with Geriatric Specialty Services, providing home visits for vulnerable elderly patients. She also cares for residents in a long-term care facility and is part of the multidisciplinary team at the Primary Care Memory Clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mak serves as a clinical instructor with the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
During her time off, Dr. Mak enjoys going on long walks, spending time with her family, and travelling around the world.
