Dr. Rose Lenser was born and raised in the city of Terrace in north western British Columbia. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology at Concordia University in Montréal in 1994 and her medical degree, from the University of British Columbia, in 1999. After completing her medical training, where she specialized in family practice, Dr. Lenser did locum work in First Nations communities and remote areas of the province. In 2003, she established her practice in Victoria.

Dr. Lenser enjoys doing maternity care, but her practice includes caring for all kinds of patients, from babies to the elderly. She is a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) and an Associate Clinical Professor in the UBC Family Practice Residency Program.

Dr. Lenser is a member of the Laksilyu Clan of the Wet'suwet'en Nation. She lives in Saanich with her husband and their three sons, Brandon, David and Kai. She loves hiking and walking her dog, Chewy, and is an avid jogger, having completed five marathons (all prior to having kids!).
