Dr. Leduc was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., where he graduated from Carson Graham Secondary School in 1978 and the UBC Faculty of Medicine in 1985. From there, he interned in Toronto then moved to Hazelton, B.C. for a rural family practice residency and certification (CCFP). After that he completed a year of anaesthesia training in Saskatoon. Dr. Leduc practiced in Creston B.C. for nine years, then in 1998, moved to Victoria where he did "locum work" (filling in for other family doctors). He started his own practice again in December 2000, initially in association with Drs. Jim Stockdill and Phil Huggett, then in 2006, he joined the Doctors' Medical Clinic.

Dr. Leduc is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine and a member of the Victoria-Site Faculty for the UBC Family Practice Residency Program. He is active in medical politics currently as a vice-delegate to the Board of the Society of General Practitioners of BC and a Fellow of the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada.

Dr. Leduc is married and has three children in their 20's. For fun, he plays trumpet in the Greater Victoria Concert Band and enjoys running with the Prairie Inn Harriers. He is also a regular commuting cyclist and enjoys hiking, kayaking and travel.

For 6 months in 2011 Dr. Leduc and his wife, Dr. Lisa Veres, are once again volunteering their medical services in the south Pacific country of Vanuatu. They are members of ViVa (Victoria-Vanuatu Physician Project) a non-profit charitable organization. Dr. Martin Wheeler, visiting from St. Mary's, Ontario, will be looking after Dr. Leduc's patients until Dr. Leduc returns at the end of February, 2012.
